When Jessica D’Agostini was in the third grade, her school teacher delivered a terrible curse. “There’s no such thing as magic!” he scowled from beneath a pair of bushy eyebrows. At first, Jessica refused to believe it. For as long as she could remember, she had glimpsed small, mystical shadows, and if she concentrated really hard, she could even see through solid objects. Jessica grew up to become a successful engineer and married a charming man, the magic in her past long forgotten. Until one day, their family of two sons was joined by a little girl. It had been years since Jessica had lost herself in stories, but suddenly, she was reading them again. When Jessica isn’t enjoying a day at the beach in Miami with her husband and children, she is usually found at her computer. Fingers typing madly, Jessica goes on daring adventures in search of magic, encountering unforgettable characters, casting spells, and exploring exotic, unknown lands.
